I just thought of another possibility while watching a certain mini that I acquired the other day:
Candysmith Marley.
Think about it. Why else would somebody who only appears once a year as a collector at a Wintersday event (and, under another name, as a vendor of pink dye) have gotten her own mini? Character minis have _always_ previously been assigned to heroes and to NPC's who are, for one reason or another, important to the game's storyline. It hardly makes sense to have one of this year's "grape" minis be a very minor NPC unless a bigger role is being planned for her. (She'd certainly fit the "unexpected" and "doh!" quotients!) Also, since Marley has no defined profession, except "collector", it'd be easy to make her a multi-profession hero.

We don't necessarily need new heroes. At least one new hero will join your party as part of the new Cantha Guild Wars:Beyond content though.

It would be cool if there was a way to get at least 7 heroes of each, just try try crazy builds with all characters of the same profession.
I always wanted to try what a party with elementalists only could do. I bet they'll be invincible.

Yes - and my hope is, that they just remove the cap. So even 11 heroes would be possible.

Maybe they're gonna fix this? MOX blows up and inside is an Asuran Mesmer!

A hero which can change profession will just cause everybody to use 4 necro's anyway..
I rather have a new rit or mesmer..
I actually could care less about a new hero, the 7 hero party's are what I'm looking out for!

I think it could be a Seer.
There is one laying on a table on the secret lab during WiK. Who knows, maybe Blimm and Zinn are doing something with it.

After reading the comments from the people on the test crew, my bet is on Mad King Thorn. It seemed pretty ridiculous at first, but we just did quests to get him to the mortal world, so it would definitely be a /facepalm, yet completely unexpected moment.
I still really want an envoy... Emissary Heleyne or Courier Torivos, please!

My toon is on a thirst strike until we get a Margonite Paragon hero.
As Anet watches my character wither away from a lack of alcohol I hope they'll see the error in their ways...

According to one TK member, the new hero choice is someone who we're very familiar with. Once he/she is revealed, a lot of people are probably going to slap themselves for not guessing such an obvious choice.
Dang teasers.
